It’s nearly November, winter is knocking at the door, and the end of the year is just around the corner. We’ve made it, soon we can wish farewell to 2020 and the challenges it has brought to make way for a new year of hope as we emerge from a winter of hibernation!
At GROWbox, we are passionate about learning and protecting the planet. People learn in so many different ways and through so many different channels. Some people are visual, some learn better from reading, others from hearing something, sometimes there can be a sensory connection (you can learn through doing or feeling!) and most people from a combination of all of these!
Our November box focuses on hope and hibernation; we show you how to grow spring bulbs (GROW), we encourage you to make music and think about how music makes you feel (BE WELL), we help you understand about animals that hibernate (IMAGINE) and then we think about how we have a duty to give hope to others (CONNECT).
Whether you are educating your children at home, looking for a bit more structure on the weekends or need a resource for your craft, forest school sessions or eco-group, we can support you and your budding planet-friendly kids!
Our activities push the boundaries of creativity and encourage #learningthroughplay. We provide descriptive activity booklets with fun facts for you to keep and refer to in the future. Our activities come with eco-friendly props for you to treasure. Our ‘Explore Further’ section encourages a deeper understanding of the topic in a non-prescriptive way. Our videos enable visual learners to have an instructional guide to the activities as well as a beautiful treat for the eyes to really sense the seasons!
We support #growthmindset in a sustainable way. Everything in the box (including the box itself!) can be used without adding clutter - we even offer a printable version of our subscription box so you can be completely waste-free and you can choose to ‘Send it On’ so your GROWbox can be shared sustainably with others who would benefit from it.
So, let’s have hope and be proactive about learning. This is a chance to enrich our childrens’ lives and provide the environmental awareness that they need to look after the wellbeing of planet and people!
